The Asia Society of Northern California will be hosting its 8^th annual Future of US and China Conference on January 22, 2026.  This year’s conference focuses on the shifting global order, with a significant sub-focus on technology issues.  I will be moderating a panel on “Debunking the US-China Race for Technology” with Frances Hisgen, Denis Simon and Paul Triolo.  However, this is not the only technology-oriented session. Session 5 will include a discussion with two tech authors: Patrick McGee (Apple in China), and Dan Wang (Breakneck: China’s Quest to Engineer the Future).  Nina Xiang will moderate.   I would not be surprised if Tim Stratford, Scott Kennedy, Jeanette Chu, Jim McGregor, Yabo Lin, Andy Tsao, Jason Hsu and others also addressed technology issues.  Register here.
