We have a great group of experts: Prof. Walter Copan of the Colorado School of Mines, former Director of NIST and known to many in the IP community from his work at NIST; Prof. Gloria Xiong of Colby College, who focuses on economic statecraft and economic coercion; and Cory Combs of Trivium China, who is following China’s critical-mineral industries, industrial policy, supply chains and export controls and was formerly with the Department of Energy.

Our discussion will look at the full range of issues involving critical minerals such as: how China developed its position in critical-mineral supply chains; where U.S. vulnerabilities lie; federal and California efforts to develop alternative capacity; technology, talent and industrial know-how; the role of allies; economic coercion and retaliation; and how China may respond as the United States and its partners invest in competing supply chains.Please come and join us for this important conversation.
